The spring months offer backwater light tackle fishing for redifish, striper, trout, and flounder in the inlets. Bottom fishing in the bay will focus on tau tog.

Summer is the busy time. If conditions are favorable, sight casting for cobia will be the focus. Also big bull red drum show up and can be caught off the bottom or sight casted. Sheepshead fishing is productive on the bridge pylons and other species of bottom fishing near the bridge. Trolling spoons for Spanish mackerel and bluefish near the inlet is great for kids.

Fall fishing can be really great. Focus is light tackle in the creeks and rivers. Speckled trout, redfish, and striper. As it starts to cool off more, tau togs will bite on bridge structure and nearby wrecks.

In the winter when days are decent, fishing for tau tog in the bay and speckled trout in the rivers are options.
